A Day At A Time.

Cousins

They're not. He is. Robin Cousins, that is.

Guest speaker at our Speech Day celebrations. Pictured here with Sophie, one of my A Level pupils, and his Olympic Gold Medal.

He was an absolute gentleman, spoke well (and briefly!), presented the prizes and that was that. He let Ron wear his gold medal and I suspect had to prize (pun intended) it off him again.

After a lovely lunch and a few drinks in the Alanda Hotel gardens, Jacqui picked me up and we went off to Mijas pueblo to see a Pink Floyd tribute band.

Any similarity to Pink Floyd, alive or dead, was entirely coincidental. They were awful. To call them amateur would have been generous. The backing singer looked like Princess Fiona and the three musicians (no bass player!!) looked like nothing on earth.

But we didn't care. We sat out under the stars with some very strong g and ts and enjoyed the music, even if I had difficulty recognising the songs on occasion.

It was a great way to end the year and start the holidays.
