This Is The Bloke

Lots of people know about the fairy tale castles in Bavaria - Neuschwanstein being probably the most famous. But the bloke behind it all was this chap - Ludwig II of Bavaria. Otherwise known as Mad King Ludwig. His is an interesting story and well worth a read.

I wouldn't mind doing a bit more research about him.

We went out to Murnau today for a bit of a look round and to meet up with some family of G's that she hadn't seen for years.

Murnau is proper Bavarian. I understood nothing when I heard people speaking. It's quite pretty and the Staffelsee is a lovely place to go for a walk.

Only one of the cousins could actually make it but she turned up her partner and with the wife of the cousin who couldn't make it. It was a jolly little gathering.
