SEVEN: Yellow Fever

I went up for a wander on my patch today, where even the wildflowers seemed to be celebrating the imminent arrival of the Tour de France. Flyers and magazines coming through the door, houses and the local school, decked out in bunting, plant troughs, road signs about closures and warnings of what will happen if you park next week - all bright yellow. On the road today were lots of slow moving cars. I suspect people are planning their own routes and hoping to pick out a vantage point for the big event - now just a week away. There were lots of cyclists too, from the serious lycra-clad to the flapping shorts of the Sunday afternoon rider, all no doubt wanting to say they have cycled part of the route. Just waiting for cast of The Simpsons to show up now. As long as they don't mention the cheese eating surrender monkeys - that wouldn't be very diplomatic, would it?!
