Hovering for Gold

I managed to find a few minutes to wander round the garden between the weekly shop and heading of for rehearsals for our choral concert tonight.

This hover fly was attracted by this golden plant. I don't know what it is, and it is growing on the patio like a weed, but it is very pretty so will be tolerated! The hover fly clearly agrees, as it kept coming back, allowing me to catch him in flight
