State of the snow. The skiers have been missing out, with most of the skifields closed.

Another fine spring-like day, but tomorrow the forecast is for a polar blast and snow down to the foothills. I went out early before the sun went behind the mountains to record the snow level for this first day of July. Here is the whole Torlesse Range. There is very little snow on it as you can see.

When I stopped the car the heifers were grazing on the tall brassicas in the distance, but they hurried over to the fence, jostling to get their photos taken. I did get a nice shot showing their faces, but that didn’t have a pair of paradise shelducks flying through.
