Today's post

I haven't been out much the last week. Today I went a short walk around St Mary's in Holm. I had my coffee in a cove below Holmquoy Head.

I shouldn't say 'cove', the Orkney word is 'geo'. I wasn't sure how that is pronounced so looked it up. But the book suggested both soft and hard 'g' is fine. I prefer the soft version, as in Jimi Hendrix's 'Hey Geo' (Hey Geo, where you goin' with that Gunni Johann').

I may have cracked a joke like that before. If so, I do apologise.
