Everyday I Write The Book

Perspective shift

Nice sunny evening in London after finishing a meeting. Wandered the backstreets of Westminster reveling in the lovely architecture and the July sunshine. They were playing open air table tennis in the Embankment Gardens and lovers were curled up on the grass. Walked through The Temple Gardens and across Blackfriars Bridge to  the Southbank, where I found the World Vision hut from Africa and spent a few minutes talking about their work. Promised to give them a free highlight in my blip tonight; they were lovely people and both actually grew up in the kind of African communities they are now trying to help.

We talked about the ebola virus in Africa which has killed four hundred people already. If this was Europe it would be huge news but not many people know about it because it's Africa and life is not newsworthy ...

So have a look at their website and see what you can do. It might put things in perspective ...
