Ammonite

This tiny fossilized ammonite normally sits quietly and contemplatively on the mantle shelf in my office at Ammonite Press, overshadowed by a somewhat brash, gigantic china replica that acts as a bookend. I picked up this little chap earlier, rolled it around in the palm of my hand and decided that it deserved closer inspection to reveal its textures and colours.
