Celebrating Le Tour

I couldn't resist the bunches of sunflowers at our farm shop today.
Well we haven't any flags out but these I thought were just the thing!
These in the kitchen window, and some in a vase in the fireplace.
They also remind me of our holiday!

This morning we went to the fruit farm to pick strawberries and gooseberries.
Both better crops than last year.
For some reason raspberries won't grow on their land. So instead they grow tayberries. They are fantastic, but I have never tried them. Has anyone had any?
If so have you any recipes?
They also have cultivated blackberries, but I prefer the wild ones, as they have a better flavour, ( and are free!!)

We called at the farm shop to stock up on vegetables. They had a good selection, and mainly English, but not quite as good as the French markets we have been used to!

It has been another warm and mainly sunny day.
Unfortunately the weather for the weekend doesn't sound quite as good.
But they have been known to get it wrong!
