The unknown soldier's letter

There's a large statue on platform 1 of Paddington station that is part of the WW1 memorial I've walked past it a few times. He's reading a letter from home. I read about a project to mark the 100 year anniversary of WW1 by getting people to imagine and write the letter that he is reading. Lots of celebrities (Andrew Motion, Stephen Fry etc), ordinary people and schools are now involved and you can read and hear some of the letters that have been submitted. I've half composed one in my head on my commute -perhaps eventually it will make it to the project.
