Mésange bleue

Another relaxing day around the holiday house.

We were woken by the noise of a giant hornet bashing against the bedroom window. Not good to hear such a large insect but not be able to see it until you've found your glasses! Eventually it was evicted to much relief.

We watched the crayfish in the millstream, spotted the blue blur of the kingfisher and felt sympathy for this blue tit (mésange bleue) that was very busy delivering insects to the noisy brood in the garage wall.
