Poor wee thing

Sorry in advance if this pic causes anyone upset as it is a very sad sight.

We were in the house at lunchtime and OH was in the kitchen when suddenly he gave a shout making me jump. He said had just seen something fall down past the window and onto the car.
We hurried outside to find this poor juvenile seagull lying dead on the car roof.
It was hard to tell if it had been dead when it fell or if the fall killed it but it appeared to have a broken neck.

There has been a rather frantic looking seagull hanging about out there on and off all afternoon so we're presuming it's the mother.

Nature at it's worst :-(
