Doodles

I'm involved in setting up a new venture at church, a 'look after people who move here and don't have any family nearby' kind of venture for young students and workers. The idea is to connect them with a family from the church, although the extent of the connection is then up to them to decide - a dinner occasionally, days out, lazy afternoons in front of the tv, whatever really, just to provide some family roots here. Ideally this would happen naturally, and sometimes it does, but I know from experience and talking to other people who've moved long distances, sometimes it can be hard and a little push is needed.

So I made a flyer for signing up today. It started with pen and paper, as they always should, then moved to the computer and completely changed. But I had a happy little afternoon clumsily doodling with intent. And trying to fit all the letters in. It's not a cattle adoption venture.
