Walking with Ellie

One of the things I cherish about the Marlborough community is the way we support each other in crisis. It is an old-fashioned way of living, that is lost to many with busy lives in the modern world.

Last night I had supper with my College friend, Ellie and her family. I have known them for 18 years and watched her children grow up. Hugo, the oldest, is now 16. Today, we went for a long long walk in the local countryside, talking and being together.

The value of friendship and community is what holds us together when the dark times come. And we need to fight our dragons.
