Eric Carle Museum Library

We visited the Eric Carl Museum today, perhaps for the first time just with grown-ups--Laura and Eric who arrived yesterday. Our usual visits are with children, mainly Max and Nate as last year (a link with several further links). Carle is a children's book illustrator, best known for the Very Hungry Caterpillar--here on the couch as La Oruga Muy Hambrienta (view it large, in Spanish; he has been translated into a multitude of languages. Carle founded and endowed the museum himself. In addition to this large library, it has several large galleries, a large studio for kids to work in, and a generous auditorium. Altogether a wonderful institution.

Afterwards we drove to the top of Mount Holyoke and around Mt. Holyoke College.
