Daddy To The Rescue

Family day at Playa La Ropa, with a variety of local residents out to enjoy a day at the beach, like this young boy here being saved from the oncoming wave. We enjoyed an afternoon of salsa music (and my wife got to dance a little), papas and cervezas, followed by my first games of beach volleyball in more than a month. The tide is so high this time of year that the court was made extra small. Even with that, we played more than one point on water covered sand as the waves washed in obliterating the lines. It was great to be on the beach one last time before we head inland on Tuesday for a couple of weeks of house sitting in Patzcuaro. Trading the hot, humid weather of Zihua for the cooler, wet weather of the mountains to our east.
