Jane Austen wrote 'It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife'.

It was Marta's experience however, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, wanted a young blonde, with tanned limbs, a great bottom, and the face of a supermodel. Marta was more Claudia Winkleman than Claudia Schiffer, and although she'd never had a problem attracting men, none of them, as far as she knew, had been of good fortune. Some hadn't even been of good humour.

It wasn't that she was looking for a man with money, but her last boyfriend had borrowed her savings to 'fund a new venture' (a 25 year old dog groomer called Virginia, as it transpired.)

Perhaps Amy was right. Perhaps, friendships with people who shared similar interests, would be easier to incubate online. (And any potential weirdos could be deleted, as easily as a blurred holiday snap.)

Would it do any harm to at least take a look at the photography website Amy had mentioned? Marta switched on her laptop, and typed 'Blipfoto' into the search engine......
