Tortoiseshell Butterfly

It's a beautiful sunny morning (although forecasters are saying it isn't going to last) and the sky is wall to wall blue. I found this tortoiseshell butterfly making the most of the good weather and thoroughly enjoying feeding on this yellow flower. It didn't seem to mind that I was photographing it - normally I end up chasing them around the garden or down the road - but this one even obligingly spread its wings for me.
