Getting our ducks in a row

My days of 'business phrase bingo' are thankfully over, but when I saw these Mallards at the side of the Grand Union Canal I was reminded of one which I heard far too many times.

This was on the way back from Draycote Water where I had cycled to, intending to find a few potential blips. I don't take the DSLR on the bike, I use an old IXUS compact which is much easier to protect from the inevitable rattling about and is proving to be a usefull camera for recce trips.

Of course, around 200 metres further on there was a much longer single row of ducks all looking splendid, but as I stopped to take the photo they decided it was time for a group swimming session .....
