Art for Art's Sake

This month there is an arts event locally called Warwickshire Open Studios, whereby artists using all sorts of media or materials, paintings, ceramics, metal work etc etc, exhibit their work to the public.
I went with friends to see enamel work done by a friend at her home in Stratford. She makes jewellery , small framed pictures and these beautiful little bowls. They are made from copper then the enamel colours are applied and they are fired in a kiln which blends the colours onto the copper. They all turn out differently and she is never quite sure how they are going to look until they are finished!
