I Saw Them Standing There

I was working at the SADiE mixer controls this afternoon on the 6th floor at the very front of Old Broadcasting House when suddenly, through the double-glazed windows, burst some ear-splittingly loud music from the street below. It's not often you hear a blip opportunity before you see it, and unable to resist the lure of something interesting I grabbed my camera and rushed down to the reception and out onto the pavement, where a small crowd had gathered. And there they were, playing this song from the open top of a red double-decker bus with the volume knob turned all the way up to 11.

For once, nothing to do with The One Show or any other BBC programme. Just the "Fab Four" themselves advertising the return to the London stage of their hit musical Let It Be.

After two songs they were off again on their magical mystery tour of the London streets.
