Heading for home...

Now that summer's fully established, the only way to get a proper walk in is to head for either the river in the early morning or the high ground in the evening.

This evening, we drove up to Cruz del Muerto (a spooky name for what it a very pretty spot) in the hope of catching a breeze and getting a decent amble in before dark and it was a good choice. The late sun was still warm, but there was a light wind blowing through the trees and plenty of shade for a little dog to run from shadow to shadow (Bob's way of tackling walks in summer is to run ahead to a shady bit, sit and wait for us to catch up and then run ahead to the next shady bit, sit and wait for us... he's not daft!).

It is so peaceful up here and the views are so beautiful that it really is a perfect way to relax and refocus and round off a summer's day.
