Dupplin Quilt

Well at last I have completed the first of the quilts for my friend's new B&B in the historic village of Dunning, Perthshire. It was all hand sewn and hand quilted and I am relieved to have it finished at last. What you cannot see from this angle is that on the 'drop' at the base of the bed I have quilted images of the thirteenth century local church, the old Dupplin Cross (estimated to date from the 9th century) and an ancient well. The celtic quilting is on both corners.
