Willows under the Hawkdun Range

The promised snow arrived and we've had a superb day. We've mostly been along the length of the Hawkduns, visiting the woolshed and cottages again, the little hut, also Falls Dam and any other scenic wonder that caught our eye - there were many of them! We also ended up driving back up to Danseys Pass to see what the snow conditions were like up there but they'd had a lighter fall than we did.

The cloud drifting over this mountain pass at the head of the valley caught my eye and I loved the willows in amongst the snow too. What a day! How lucky we've been.

There's a beautiful clear sky out there now, at 10pm and I'm sure that if Horomaka were here he'd be out there capturing the old hay barn and the Milky Way. Sorry M., can't do it, I'm bushed! I'm off to bed . . . . . maybe tomorrow night!
Optomist had to return to Christchurch this morning, so we're missing her now too.

Better large - more snow!

Thank you so much for the incredible response to yesterday's Poolburn Sunrise - The Promise of Things To Come. That's wonderfully kind of you all and I was really chuffed! It's wonderful that you liked it so much.
