Goosles: Flapping Fledgling

More sparkly bokeh in large ("L").

The water droplets in the background were caused by another fledgling diving under the surface (after a flapping and flying fit).

I had a nice time at Eagle Pond: the fettered fledgling is still bound in fishing line, but Ann and Jurgen are going to try to catch it together later (so fingers crossed...).

I've put up some other Goosle shots on Flickr (right from here) and also some shots of the mallard mother's tufted duckling (the one with mallardling siblings - right from here). It is cute, and very standard for a tufted duckling (in shape, colouration, and behaviour), which I still find very odd...
