Hello world

Nikki had another ultrasound scan today, as part of the tests for Down's syndrome and Trisomy 18. We're pleased to say that the results were very positive, with a very low chance predicted for either.

I wasn't able to go to the ultrasound with Nikki as I had to look after the wee man but she said it was a really good experience, with the sonographer showing her all the different body parts and organs as she went along, and printing off a reel of pictures for us to keep. Midway through the scan, Pixel suddenly lifted up one hand and started to wave her fingers, saying hello (or, if you look closely, maybe giving a two finger salute to say 'hey i'm sleeping here - eff off, will ya?!?) Looks like the wee man may have his work cut out for him with his younger brother/sister.

Despite the rude gesture, it's definitely much better than the ultrasound a couple weeks ago, where we only had one small grainy pic of Pixel to keep.

It's just a shame about the poor quality picture here - photo of a printout.
