A Little Bit Of Color

Pátzcuaro has been in existence since the 1500's so there is a lot of lovely texture in the many old buildings that comprise this beautiful town, but everything tends to be shades of brown, reddish ochre or white. One is forced to find color elsewhere, like on this display table in front of one of the many textile shops we visited today searching for the correct colored bedspreads. These birds and butterflies are kitchen pot holders, but make for a nice pattern when displayed together. It was a beautifully sunny day (until the afternoon rains arrived) and we had enjoyed a delicious breakfast so wandering the streets and shops was a pleasant way to while away a couple of hours.
