Jagged Edge

Another fine day at the Longshaw fungi mines, and a good turnout too. It's the warm weather that brings them out, you know. Still relatively few of the larger fungi around and I wasn't especially pleased with my fungi and slime mould photos today - don't know why. However, there were plenty of butterflies around - Gatekeepers, Ringlets, Small Skippers, and one of our number managed an excellent shot of a Dark Green Fritillary, of which I was very envious. I haven't seen a lot of Commas around recently so it was nice to have this one pose on a nettle leaf.
