Tinseltown in the rain

A walk to Victoria Park where there were all sorts of workers painting and pruning and constructing even though it was absolutely lowping it down with rain. The Games approach-eth and the hour is late and come rain or even more rain the job of putting a bit of slap on this fair city will not wait for fairer weather.
The birdlife on the pond were all hunkered down against the sodden sky. I liked this one I captured through an iron ring of the mute swan and its cygnets gobbling the pond-weed. I think focussing on the rain and having the swans just out of focus makes for an interesting image. Almost like something sensed in a rearview mirror. A sort of spy-glass into hidden life just out of our ken.
