St Thomas a Becket Church, Fairfield, Kent.

Ok journey down but we got in some serious traffic at the Dartford crossing. It was solid...once we had paid the toll £2 we were away pretty sharpish..

Found our way quite easily from there so we stopped at the Woolpack PH in Broadland. Had a very nice meal here plus a Spitfire ale then on to the shed. Its described as a "lodge" but really it is a shed with all mod cons. The WiFi connection is a bit hit & miss & so I had to reduce the size of the picture in order to upload it...but its ok ...

After we came out of the pub we got lost, & went past the farm where we were staying. Drove past this church which is a parish church for a village long gone. It is surrounded by water & sheep & in fact sometimes the marsh (Romney Marsh) on which it stands does flood right up to the door. There is now a causeway so you can get to it easily which was constructed in 1913....

Very hot & no rain as at 1845..
