Mark 1

I woke up to the most delightful Christmassy smell this morning, and hurried downstairs to assess the results.

The cake was cooked through perfectly and a nice even rise, but.... the top was just slightly crisp. Perfection is the only acceptable outcome here, so this one will have to be shared around.
We have tried a little slice, and it is yummy so the recipe is fine.

Meanwhile, Mark 2 is bathing in sherry already!
