" HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW ?"

Today we took our friends from Hampshire over to Dunster for lunch at the Luttrell Arms. We had telephoned yesterday and they kindly reserved us a seat especially by the window for "4 and small dog", was printed on the reserve card. We had a great meal and then wandered on through Dunster ending up at the Castle. There was a gate normally closed marked Secret Garden but today it was open so we ventured in.

The garden was laid out quite formally with lots of dahlias, cosmos, lavender etc. but this unusual type of Lilly caught my eye. I think it's called a Tiger Lilly but I'm not sure and its too late for me to get the books out. Whatever its called, I liked the brightness.

We didn't get any rain or storms so sat in the garden this afternoon enjoying a jug of Pimms. Then the 'boys' set to and administered a very good BBQ. We didn't eat outside though as it had become gloomy and a bit chilly but still no rain.

We eventually took Phoebe out across the fields to walk off our food and Phoebe had a wonderful time.

Hope you have all survived the weather and tomorrow should be a better day for us all. Thankyou dear blip friends. xxxx
