Showers

On a Saturday with a bit more time to spare it seems only reasonable to have a proper breakfast with sausage and eggs, toast and marmalade. This we enjoyed but then went off to Crathes to walk it all off again. This felt quite brave as it was threatening rain, and eventually we did have to hoist the umbrellas.

Following this stroll, which with the rain became more of a route march we adjourned to the Ship Inn in Stonehaven. Here the walk from the car park was pretty short, a hundred yards or so, despite the short distance I kept the umbrella close.

On our departure I was greeted by a gentleman who had obviously been in the pub a lot longer than us, and whatever he had been drinking it was certainly not tomato juice. Still he seemed happy to be friends.

A meal in an Italian restaurant rounded off the day.
