The Goose and The Gander

Day 11

During French control, the Hoa Lo Prison was used to detain Vietnamese revolutionaries.

During the Vietnam War, many American pilots were shot down and captured, and detained at the same prison. Sarcastically, these pilots nicknamed the prison The Hanoi Hilton.

John McCain was one of the soldiers shot down, and here are his clothes, donated to the museum.

I didn't vote for him, but it was still interesting seeing some info about him and his visit in 2000.

Thanks for all that are keeping up with us, and sorry for the delay on commenting back, but as you can imagine, things are happily busy for us this month.
