Great Blue Heron

We were on our way home from a steam engine show when we spotted this blue heron in a farmer's field.

Yes, that is actually a farmer's field! It is located next to Green Pond which always over flows into the neighboring fields.

There are all manner of birds that visit here. Including ducks, snow geese & Canada geese (in the spring and fall) and heron. There were three other heron here today.
