Biking through the Vineyards

The sun rose when we rose......so corny!!!

A leisurely breakfast overlooking Golden Bay was enjoyed, such a glorious sight.

A swift southerly breeze had us pondering whether the 15 km bike ride out to Brightwater would be a good option, but heck and what the hell....let’s do it, and do it we did!!

Nelson district have got the bike trails very well sorted, no on rode biking but these wonderful trails enable bikers to ride two abreast very easily. Today the trails took us through urban Richmond, past sport fields, through market gardens, vineyards, (namely Waimea, Seifred, Early Settlers). My blip is of the Middle Earth Vineyard.
Our destination was the village of Brightwater, and more importantly HQ Cafe for coffee and food – yummo!!

The ride back was a breeze, well a southerly breeze behind us. We were back in no time at all.

This evening my niece Vicki is coming for dinner. I’m so looking forward to catching up with her, it has been far too long.
