The young ones

Celebrating Rosina's 21st at the Radcliffe Arms.

Visited Mags in hospital yesterday. She was not well. Very tired and lethargic. Not interacting at all with her visitors, not eating and still no diagnosis. It would be good to get some better news today or at least to know what is actually wrong with her.

As we are on the subject of hospitals, I might as well have a rant - wouldn't be me if I didn't. I'm not going to rant about the staff though. I think they are marvelous doing a very difficult job under very difficult circumstances. No, I'm going to rant at the people, presumably management who think that it is acceptable to charge way over the odds for parking (£3 for 2 hours, which is more than the council charges for parking in the town centre), and overpriced goods in both the coffee shop (£2.75 for a small tea or coffee) and newsagents (£1.65 for an individual bag of popcorn). It's nothing short of daylight robbery. At least in days of old when knights were bold and women wore no knickers they had the decency to hold a sword to your throat when they robbed you.

Meeting with Mick and Coral tonight to discuss the holiday which is due at the beginning of August, but it is not at all certain that we will be going given the circumstance.
