Hakea flower

It rained on and off all day today. Everytime I left the building I got rained on, not heavily but enough to leave me kind of damp all day! Needless to say there were no photo opportunities!

After work it was sprinkling lightly but I thought I could get away with rushing Toto around the block, he wasnt letting me cancel it anyway, very persistant he can be!! :)

Of course half way around just to top it all off it poured down, so I grabbed a bit of this hakea flower and we ran home!!

I've put a shot of the flower actually on the tree which I took the other day in my folio just for interests sake, but I'm really glad I took a macro of the flower as they are very beautiful!
