Piercy Percy

En profil squirrels look less cute than en face, and one could be forgiven (though not EVER by me) for thinking of them as tree rats. For that reason I generally don't photograph them like this, but the light was so, so lovely under the trees - and he didn't want to look at me, and then I noticed the battle scar.
I never think of the Percys as aggressive because they are always at their best behaviour with me, the little opportunists, - but his ear piercing is a reminder to anyone who'd want to mess with them.
