Eigg and Rhum from Ardtoe

I can't remember a day in the north of Scotland like this since summer 1976. It was so hot on the beach at Ardtoe this afternoon that Mr hazelh and I had to take frequent dips in the sea to make sitting on the beach bearable. This the view over to the islands of Eigg and Rhum from our bathing spot.

Exercise today: none - we were going to cycle to the beach, but had another flat tyre. Mr hazelh has investigated this and discovered a piece a quartz the size of half a grain of rice that has gone through two inner tubes. All has been repaired now so we will have the option of cycling tomorrow.
