Our lawnmower went off for a service. It ended up away for about 3 weeks because they managed to completely blow up the engine by running it with no oil while checking it over.

Bad news if we were garden proud as the dandelions got out of hand. Good news for the squirrels who thought it was a feast. Good news for us who got a band new engine in our 5 year old lawnmower with full factory warranty at no cost to us. Nearly bad news for the mechanic who managed to escape getting his jotters...
