I didn't promise a rose garden

Instead of a rose garden I may have promised a trip to Drum Castle to see the display of classic Jaguars, Daimlers, and by special invitation, Porsches. In the morning we had breakfast at the cafe in Hazlehead Park and then a stroll through the Rose Garden which is looking well looked after, and pretty spectacular with a large display of flowers.

We then adjourned to a garden centre to buy a small rose bush before heading out to Drum Castle. However during our time at the garden centre there was a heavy downpour. We decided perhaps the day was not suitable for walking through muddy fields looking at cars. We also thought some of the exhibitors might have decided to abandon the show in view of the inclement weather.

Instead the weather cleared up after the shower, and so perhaps we could have gone to Drum, but by the time it was apparent the weather was going to stay dry it would have been too late. Never mind, we did classic cars last weekend anyway.
