Central London Shieldbug

Back to the commute on hot and stuffy trains. I managed to get out at lunchtime and prowl around Fitzroy Square with my camera. Trying to do this without getting some very strange stares from the lunching hoards was quite difficult.

I found this hawthorn shield bug (I think) on a pyracantha bush at the edge of the square near the railings. Interesting to see the wildlife that is around even in central London.
