Moneybags

At the end of my first year in Japan, one of friends who was leaving took a big box of change to the bank and came out with and extra 30,000 yen ($300) in his account. I thought that was cool and fun and it would be a nice surprise when I leave. So, I started collecting change.
Unlike my friend who never used his change and put it all in the bucket, I use my change whenever I can, so I only put money in that I had absentmindedly but in my pockets or found on the floor of my house (which was a lot...). Even then, after 3 years I collected a decent amount. When I took it to the bank today, I found out I had collected 62,444 yen, so about $600! Nice!
