Alaska Day 4 more brown bears

We got up early to do some kayaking in this beautiful spot as the bear viewing doesn’t open until 10:00. One needs a (sought after) permit to go there….there is a ranger on the beach to check.
Saw a couple more bears on this second day at Pack Creek but mostly the same ones, Patches, with the broken leg, Mom with 1 cub, Mom(Mocha) with 2 cubs…apparently she does not have a great reputation of being a good mother but some were lucky to see her nursing the 2 cubs at once. (I was walking in the forest and missed that) and we gorged on crab and salmon for dinner.

Liked this picture of H in the kayak in the morning still waters with no one around. there will be more bears later…. and I’ve combined day 3 and 4 on a flicker set.. think I'm getting better at selecting fewer.... only 7 more to go.... just the highlights :-)
