Le Petit Nid

It seemed a very long drive from Avallon to St-Alban-des-Hurtieres but it was worth it as it is lovely here although rather humid.

Our home for the next couple of weeks is quite rustic but charming and has everything we need - except we have managed to forget stuff (camera cables) and bring duplicates of other stuff (fabric conditioner) which is to be expected with our increasing memory loss, I suppose.

We thought it was dark in Cumbria. When we switched off the bedroom lamps is was extremely dark and even after several minutes it was still pitch black. You could see rien de tout!
