When the Rain Went Away

23.6C with rain until 2 pm then the sun came out. More rain late afternoon. Zephyr.

Apothecary7's day off. A rainy morning prevented us having another walk up to the Howff but not our visit to M&S at City Quay for coffee and some grocery shopping.

After lunch we noticed it was getting brighter and it was around 2pm when the rain went away. It was still misty out over the fields and the sea, but by the time we had walked Maeve the Deerhound down the road to the shore the mist was further out to sea. We went over the railway bridge to the beach at Westhaven and I grabbed a quick shot of Silver Cat moored out at the seaward end of the channel through the rocks.

We carried on walking towards the main beach at Carnoustie and went all the way along the seafront and out to the two bridges over the Barry Burn on the links land where the golf courses are. It was very warm and humid. From there we walked up past the golf hotel and back along the High Street from where we turned up towards home.

Maeve was hot again, but not quite as tired as yesterday. She hadn't walked on soft sand. That helps.
