Dawn as seen from my deck
Smoke in the air is less than
yesterday
I'm out to water at my friend's
house a few blocks away
Today is the demonstration
in support of public education
in front of the lawcourts
I will happily carry a placard
and wave at passing traffic
Some male in a Porche
streaks by our gathering to
beak off at us in anger
Another good reason to support
public education 'cause
the children of the rich and priviledged
should always see how other people
live in this world.
There might be better understanding
and less entitlement.
