Pretty Or What?

So pretty and colourful, this is Britain's largest annual plant: Himalayan Balsam. We see it growing along canals and rivers and enjoy the bright display. The trouble is, because they are annuals, their roots, having broken through the river bank, die and leave the bank unstable, unlike perennials, whose roots bind the earth. Also, they are so prolific. Volunteers up and down the country try to keep them at bay.

I don't ever see these at home but I'm in Shrewsbury, setting up the marquee at England's Vapefest. The Mate makes products for those who have given up smoking in favour of vaping and I'm here to assist with sales.
