Only sun today

Fricking awful weather - woke up at 1.15am to yet another howling gale and sheeting rain - looked out the window and we had a wee bit of snow. Could not get back to sleep for ages - so read a while

6.30am my bus owner rang - 3/4 of the buses were cancelled due to snow. One staff member struggled to get in and two more had hassles. (One bless her had had a car accident yesterday with a fallen tree and still she came in this morning battered and bruised and with just as ferocious a wind going on, compounded today by snow)

Spent three hours this morning trying to find something that was right under my frigging nose! Then this afternoon a member of staff who is also an ambulance driver came through to say a media-helicopter was coming to land on the field to meet an ambulance that was coming with a farm worker who had had a serious motor vehicle accident. Created lots of interest amongst the kids although we kept them out of the way because wasn't really wanting an audience. What was funny was how many parents came into school thinking that something horrendous had happened at school! Thank the Lord it hadn't!

This was the only bit of sunshine there was today. Very COLD,WET AND WINDY
